SMS Consent Flow
This page documents the only opt-in path that AILA Labs will use for the Tree Works customer-care SMS program after carrier approval. Consent is collected verbally during an inbound call before any text message is sent.
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Only opt-in method: verbal consent
The customer initiates a phone call to Tree Works at (423) 451-6388 about a tree-service request. Tree Works does not collect consent for this program through a website form, SMS keyword, QR code, paper form, purchased list, or third-party lead list.
Disclosure presented before consent
Before asking for permission, Joanie presents this disclosure:
"Tree Works uses Joanie, operated by AILA Labs, to send customer-care text messages about this tree-service request, including a summary and replies about corrections or photos. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. May we text these messages to [phone number]?"
How the customer gives or declines consent
The caller must give a clear affirmative response, such as "yes," after hearing the disclosure. Silence, an unclear response, merely providing a phone number, or stating a general preference for calls or texts does not count as consent.
If the caller declines, Tree Works continues handling the service request by phone and Joanie sends no text message. The caller can receive service without agreeing to SMS.
Consent record
For an affirmative response, AILA Labs records the mobile number, the related inbound-call identifier, the consent timestamp, and the source as verbal inbound-call consent. A text is eligible to send only after that affirmative response.
Program information
Messages are limited to customer care for the same tree-service request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
